すべてを捨てて⾃自らを解き放つ (Literally, to free oneself giving up everything) is the first album of the Italian Lorenzo Balloni (14 April 1994). The album was created in the period between March and April
2016 during his first stay in Japan.

Totally in love with the Japanese culture, the album is the recalling of each situation he experienced in that period, recording and then manipulating all kinds of Field recordings, and paying particular attention to the details of the simple things and to the view they produce.

The structure and concept of the work meticulously retrace its title which can have multiple interpretations, although basically this name is a paradox of itself; a positive concept expressed in a negative way, that lays its foundations on the idea of "living the present moment" without letting the hopes for the future and, consequently, the disappointments of the past invade this environment. The work can be compared to a continuous research in several layers of matter that are continuously dug, until you get to that landscape on which the work is based; a ceramic setting, dark but totally benevolent, made up of soft lights moved by the refraction of them on dust particles, thus creating warm and anonymous reflexes. These various levels can be identified in every part of the cd; the ultimate goal is the very moment in which the work lives, every moment is the beginning and the end; the time is told with a Toroidal structure and not, as it is usually thought, from one point to another. A real immediate interpretation, which leads our minds to give up any thought and invites us to take part in the energies of the universe.
